Water Quality Control Protocol

The Norte Surf Fest organization have implemented a protocol for controlling and monitoring the quality of the water at Matosinhos Beach, where the festival's sea activities will take place. In close collaboration with Matosinhos City Council, and following the recommendations of the Portuguese Environment Agency and health authorities, water quality monitoring will be ensured before and during Norte Surf Fest, guaranteeing the safety of all participants and people involved in the organisation.

The water samples will be taken at Matosinhos Beach, where the event will be held and where the various activities described in the programme are scheduled to take place, starting the week before the event, in order to monitor any changes in the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of the water resulting from human activities and natural phenomena.

According to the results of the analyses, steps will be taken as indicated by the health authorities.
